Sarah supporting School Design Challenge
Sarah is again, for the fourth consecutive year, supporting the Silverstone Innovation Centre Design Challenge. This year, it looks like it will be bigger and better than ever!

Sarah went along to Silverstone yesterday for the pre-judge where all the entries for the competition are looked at by the Judges and feedback given to the students how to develop their ideas for the finals in July.
The competition is aimed at students in three age categories : KS2 and KS 3 & 4, from schools and colleges across the country and focuses on the subject of Design Technology wth a real world link.
For the KS3 & 4 students, It involves teams of 1-4 students designing new innovative products through investigation and research into the brief given to them, devlop ideas and concepts and finally present their ideas to a group of Judges in a 'dragon's den' type presentation. The KS2 students will have designed stamps with the theme of travel and the final will have a display of their work too.

The pre-judge showed that there were some very interesting ideas already in the making! Sarah commented "I really enjoy supporting the Design Challenge and am honoured to be supporting it in its fourth year. I can't wait for the final and seeing the presentation of some of the designs in the dragons den!"
Sarah will be presenting the Best Presentation Award at the final in July and the winners will get the chance to come along to one of the race meetings that Sarah is racing at this year.
