Sarah at Autosport Part II

After an exciting day of setting up, Sarah was ready and raring to go for the show!

'I always really look forward to the Autopsort Show,' said Sarah.  'It really gets me fired up for the rest of the season ahead.  I'm looking forward to seeing some fantastic cars, meeting some interesting people and, most importantly, having some fun!'

Days 1 & 2 of the Show - Thursday & Friday

The good news was that the stand looked great!  The bad news was that the PR officer for the club. Georgie Shaw, was full of cold and possibly a chest infection so she couldn't make it!  Sarah was asked to step in as her understudy, to call in a few favours, grab a few celebs onto the stand and interview them for the clubs magazine, Racing Vogue.

A few members came along to help with the stand, hand out key rings (kindly provided by Steve Keal-Frayne of Perfect Promotions) and answer any queries from members, prospective members or just those curious about the club!

Sarah then put her PR hat on to interview Neil Primrose, the drummer from Travis who currently races in historic cars and is loving it!

'To be absolutely honest,' Sarah said afterwards, 'I was so busy thinking about what questions I've got to ask him, I have no idea what his answers were!  It's a good job I've got a dictation machine recording them!'

Next was BTCC driver Paul O'Neill.

Sarah managed to squeeze in some meetings in between her PR duties, and chat to various visitors to the stand, including Northamptonshire Enterprise's Julie Furnival

Julie was a fellow 'Dragon' with Sarah in the Silverstone Innovation Centre Design Challenge last year.

Finally, Sarah spoke to BTCC driver Tom Onslow Cole who, like most drivers, still hasn't quite got funding sorted for this years program.

After two exhausting days, and yet only half way through the show, Sarah and BWRDC Exhibitions Secretary, decided that the Stand needed to be moved around!  With the Gold Stars presentation on Saturday, there would be big crowds of people so cue Stand Configuration Number Two!
